Barbara Cross is our volunteer Sunday School Director. Barbara has a background in early childhood and special education and has taught students from ages 2 to 62. She fondly recalls her experience growing up actively involved in church and how important Sunday school was to her. Using Bible stories and activities and discussion, her goal is to have the children realize that we are all God’s children and that God loves us unconditionally. Since a child, Barbara has always considered Jesus to be her friend who walks with her and hopes that the children realize that Jesus is always there for them. Ms. Barbara and the teachers use stories, activities, and laughter to demonstrate how Jesus came to show us how to live as God wants us to live and what we can do in our lives to make that happen. Some ways this is done is by discussing what to do when someone is bullied, acting out how to forgive a sibling, being actively involved in the church service, and having service projects to help those in need.
